And the results are......

Today we had our 2nd ultrasound. This was specifically to find out the gender of the baby. Baby was being awfully modest last time, so the doc said we could give it another try. So the result was ..... MODESTY! AGAIN! The baby was sitting on it's knees on top of my bladder. There was no way the doc could even guess. Oh Well! It will be fun to find out on birthing day. We are still thinking about c-section (Micaela was c-section) but we also want to research VBAC. But it was such a positive experience with Mic that we're pretty sure the best and safest way is surgery. The doc thinks so also. We are so so so excited. Only 14 weeks and 5 days left. Hopefully I will stay nice and healthy and won't have to deliver early like with Mic. Prayers are always needed and welcome. We will have a babyshower sometime after the baby's born. We did it that way with Mic and it was so much fun. Everyone gets to see the baby and it will be more comfortable for me :-) I sure hope that everyone is doing well. I wish I could have a gender to tell you. But we'll all be surprised together :-D

By the way....

My cousin Keros pointed out the other day that I didn't give an update on my Dec. 1st ultrasound. Sorry :-) The baby was actually being quite modest and didn't want to show us anything. So we're just picking out a girl name and a boy name. We're pretty set on the boy being William Lyle Herring. We're struggling with a girl name though. I'll have to put up a poll and see what everyone thinks.

I guess I also didn't go into much detail about my new business. My website kind of explains it at www.sarahcna.com but mostly I'll be going into homes to help those that can't help themselves or that have limitations on helping themselves. I've been a CNA, certified nursing assistant, for 13 years now and I feel very qualified for this new venture. Brian's very excited too and very supportive. We've asked the Lord's permission as well and he's given us the "green light" :-D

I'm still going to pursue my Teaching Degree. My long term goal is to teach high school Math and Science. Especially Pre-Algebra and Earth or Marine Science. It'll be slow going but I will reach my goal.

Merry Christmas Eve and Have a lovely day tomorrow.

24 Weeks! 1/2 Way There!

Just wanted to give a bit of an update. We are 1/2 way to the BIG day. We are so excited!!! I can feel the baby way more often and it's so amazing. We're really not prepared at all monetarily but we're not overly worried about it. We're putting our faith in God and trusting in Him. I'm looking for clients for my new business. Loving Hands Home Health Care. Long-name-no-can-say :-) My website is www.sarahcna.com I'm willing to take referrals if anyone knows of someone in need. We're really excited about this new adventure as well. So of course things are super tight around here, but we'll make it through. We always do.

Micaela's loving 2nd grade and her teacher, Mrs. McClaugherty is sooooo....GREAT! Mic's pretty sad that there have been so many snow days and misses school a lot. Although she's really looking forward to Christmas. We have our little advent calendar that has pipe cleaner candy canes in it. She takes one off every day and puts it on the tree. She's so diligent about it too.

Speaking of diligence. Brian still treks to work in the snow. We actually dug out our van today and put chains on it. Probably not the best thing for a prego woman to do but it needed to be done. I had fun and it got me out of the house.

For the most part we're doing well. The baby's growing and so are the rest of us :-) We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and An Amazing Happy New Year. Sorry we didn't get many cards out this year. Funds are tight and stamps are expensive. But we love you all and miss you all anyway. Have a fantastic Holiday.

LOVES!
